The German Center for Future Mobility: Transport research strengthened in Karlsruhe

The German Center for Future Mobility (DZM), founded by the federal government, bundles research and innovation with its central hub in Munich, develops concepts for future-oriented mobility, and offers a central platform for various mobility ideas and research approaches. One of the DZM’s locations is Karlsruhe.

At an onsite meeting today in Karlsruhe attended by consortium representatives, Dr. Julia Schmid, head of the DZM office, Dr. Klaus Bonhoff, who runs the department for policy matters at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, and Christoph Erdmenger, head of the sustainable mobility department at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport, as well as Karlsruhe’s Lord Mayor Dr. Frank Mentrup explained to the press the work of the DZM and the city’s strengths as a mobility location.

Dr.-Ing. Michael Frey also presented the LogIKTram project with the “Nüwiel eTrailer” during this meeting.
